Welcome to Spanish Language Exchange!

Chris Taylor:
(Spanish Exchange
07)
I came to OSFC last year to do Spanish, and went on the exchanges. One of the main things that stood out was when we went to do work experience at a primary school, and I feel this was a really good opportunity to do something different to help get a place at University, where competition for places is tight. It's a great thing to put on your UCAS application. Working with the children meant you could develop your language skills and get a better impression of the Spanish education system and the Spanish way of life. The families really go out of their way to look after you and make sure you are in contact with your English friends, so you can feel quite at home and you can have a really good time! There are a lot of differences between English and Spanish life, as you can imagine, so it's a good opportunity to practise living those differences and getting to know the language, because when you return home to do your Spanish oral exam, you feel so much more confident! So go out there, get to know the Spanish culture and speak as much Spanish as you can! Adios!
